Lisa Marie Rigby graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2008 with a BFA in Art History and a concentration in Curatorial Studies. Hailing from her Southern hometown of Winston-Salem, her current studio practice is based in Philadelphia, PA. Her work has been shown in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Baltimore, Maryland, and Nagoya, Japan.
